Job Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand their workforce and recruit a test engineer to join the team to lead testing works in ongoing and future projects in residential and commercial sectors. The job will include:
- Performing thorough electrical inspections of equipment to satisfy Electricity at Work Regulations
- Carrying out NICEIC Electrical Installation Condition Reports, Identifying, coding and recording of deviations from BS7671
- Completion of NICEIC Certificates
- Carrying out Emergency Light Testing and recording any deviations from BS5266-1
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of commissioning programmes
- Assist with the quality control testing during first fix stages
- Maintain monthly accuracy checks of the company test equipment
- Respond to call outs during normal working hours to our live defect periods
- Assisting with the installation and commissioning of equipment
- Working away from home on occasions with accommodation and travel covered by company.

Skills Required
- Full time served electrician
- NVQ 3 or City & Guilds equivalent in electrical installation
- IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
- Current valid ECS card
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and electrical drawings
- Ability to communicate (read, speak & write) in English
- IT Literate including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
- Experienced in similar role with minimum 3 years experience
- City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection) or City & Guilds 2394 & 2395 or equivalent
- Full clean driving licence
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experienced in Electrical Installation Condition Reports
- Experience using Amtec Fast Test Software
- Experienced in Emergency Lighting Testing
